Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to provide full-time chairside, radiographic, sterilization, and patient-support services at the Federal Correctional Complex Butner Health Services Department in Butner, NC. The role includes recordkeeping and dental-clinic operations for Adults in Custody.

Requirements include specialty training, radiology certification, CPR, and at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed/certified Dental Assistant with specialty training.
• Training in dental radiology and radiation safety.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least two years of dental assistant experience.
• Ability to enter and track data in electronic systems and maintain records.
• Must meet tuberculosis screening and health checks as required.
• Bilingual communication preferred; correctional setting experience a plus.
• Successful drug screening and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to the Dental Officer during procedures.
• Escort and prepare patients; support clinic flow and scheduling.
• Prepare and pass instruments, materials, medications, and supplies; retract tissue and irrigate the mouth.
• Assist with emergency dental treatment as needed.
• Maintain accurate dental records and charts, including radiographs.
• Assist with impressions, casts, and shade selection for prosthetics.
• Sterilize and maintain instruments; report equipment defects.
• Educate patients on dental health and communicate with staff and leadership.
