Job summary

Bluhawk Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Overland Park, KS. You will learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist while contributing to an exceptional patient experience.

You will also learn infection control procedures, assist with radiographs and intra‑oral photography, and support the team with charting and patient education. No prior dental experience is required, though customer service is a plus.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience required
• Customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under supervision
• Participate in Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures per state requirements
• Prepare for patient care, assist chairside, and hand off to front desk
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to dentist
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and other regulations
