Job Details

Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
  1. Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
  2. Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
  3. Assisting Dentist with procedures when necessary.
  4. Providing great patient care.
  5. Recording treatment information in patient records.
  6. Exposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
  7. Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
  8. Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
  9. Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
  10. Forming preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
  11. Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, organized, with a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of dental terminology.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Strong public relations skills.
  • Ability to work well with patients and team members.
  • Experience in delivering high-level customer service.
  • Reliable with punctuality and flexibility to stay late if needed.
Compensation

$16-$21/hour
