Job description

Minimum Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED; 0-2 years of Dental Experience
  2. Reasonable knowledge of dental clinic practices and procedures
  3. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers; Radiography certification
  4. Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  5. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting; demonstrates active listening, written, verbal, and information technology skills; knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA standards, and aseptic techniques
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Certificate of completion from an accredited dental assisting program
  2. Some knowledge of dental materials, instruments, and equipment
  3. Familiarity with Axium dental record systems; knowledge of University policies and procedures

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which settles all matters regarding wages, benefits, hours, and other employment conditions.
