Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in pursuing a career in dental assisting.
• Ability to participate in MNACHC Dental Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and dental team during patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
• Prepare patients for dental treatment.
• Learn dental charting and documentation.
• Maintain dental supplies and treatment areas.
• Provide professional and compassionate service to patients.
• Complete required apprenticeship coursework and training.
• Participate in supervised on-the-job training with an assigned coach.
• Perform other duties appropriate to the apprenticeship program.
