Job Summary

The Dental Assistant Apprentice will complete our assisting program and participate in patient care under supervision. Upon successful completion, employment as a Jordan Valley dental assistant for two years is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assignments as directed by instructor.
• Attend all required classes, labs, and meetings.
• Prepare tray set-ups, sterilize instruments, pass and receive instruments.
• Document treatment information in electronic charts.
• Mix dental materials, perform oral evacuation, take radiographs.
• Assist in patient seating, preparation, and dismissals.
• Record vital signs and medical history.
• Maintain equipment and inventory control.
• Follow OSHA standards.
