Job summary

Brattleboro Dental Health is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team in Brattleboro, VT. You will provide chairside support, prepare rooms and materials, and help ensure smooth daily operations with a focus on quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Radiology/x-ray certification as required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Dental Assistant education, license, or certification as applicable/preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control standards.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide confident chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for scheduled procedures.
• Take and process diagnostic-quality dental X-rays.
• Follow sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols.
• Maintain clean, organized, and treatment-ready operatories.
• Educate patients on procedures, oral hygiene, and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient information.
• Monitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory.
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to support efficient patient flow.
• Help create a warm, reassuring experience for patients throughout their visit.

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As an important part of our clinical team, you’ll help keep the day running smoothly while ensuring patients receive attentive, efficient care.
