Job summary

Sturbridge Dental is seeking a professional Dental Assistant to support the General Dentist and keep patient visits smooth and welcoming. You will help with restorative procedures, prepare rooms and materials, and take diagnostic records while educating patients on oral care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and infection-control adherence. The practice offers a full-time schedule with no weekends or late nights, a comprehensive benefits package including health/vision insurance and paid

Qualifications

  • Previous dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming and positive experience for patients by helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their dental visit
  • Assist the General Dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative treatment, crown and bridge work, fillings, extractions, root canals, hygiene support, and other general dental treatments
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure appointments run efficiently and on schedule
  • Take diagnostic records, including digital x-rays, intraoral photos, scans, and impressions as needed
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive dental health to support positive outcomes
  • Monitor patient flow and work closely with the clinical team to maintain an efficient schedule and minimize wait times
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as needed
  • Follow all infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment area
  • Collaborate closely with the dental team to support exceptional patient care and day-to-day office operations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Schedule: Monday - Wednesday 7:45 am - 6 pm and Thursday 7:45 am - 4 pm

Qualifications

  • Current Dental Assistant licensure/certification as required by state regulations
  • Valid radiology/X-ray certification
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, infection control standards, and compliance updates
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and dental practice management software
