Are you a skilled Surgical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and loves delivering exceptional patient care? Winter Haven Oral Surgery is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional to join our team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Oral Surgeons to support surgical procedures, guide patients through pre- and post-op care, and help create a high-touch, “white glove” patient experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
- Preparing patients for consultations and surgical procedures
- Assisting Oral Surgeons chairside during surgery and related clinical procedures
- Helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their treatment plan
- Taking radiographs and CT scans efficiently and accurately
- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment in accordance with state infection control guidelines
- Cleaning and preparing operatories to support safe, efficient patient care
- Setting up trays and maintaining supply levels in each operatory
- Providing pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by the oral surgeon
- Recording patient charting and surgeon notes in the digital patient chart
- Maintaining compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all applicable regulations and best practices
- Supporting sedation processes, IV supplies, patient histories, and post‑op care as needed
- Recording drugs and vitals before and after surgery
- Escorting or wheeling sedated patients out after surgery
- Assisting front office staff when needed
- Helping track implant and surgical supplies
Qualifications
- Experience in dental and/or oral surgery preferred
- Willingness to travel to other offices if needed
- Strong customer service skills with a patient-centered approach

This role is based primarily in a clinical setting, working closely with doctors during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures and using specialized surgical equipment. Some responsibilities may also take place in an office setting using a computer, telephone system, and other standard office equipment. Hours may vary based on office needs.
