Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Travel Pediatric Dental Assistant for Grove Dental in Lombard & Wheaton. This full-time position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a schedule across Wheaton and Lombard locations.

You will provide exceptional chair-side support, assist dentists and dental hygienists, prepare patients, manage instrument sterilization, and ensure asepsis per OSHA standards while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must have Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of dental assisting experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X‑Ray certification (state-specific) required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, and ensure documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Tuesday: 7:45am-6:15pm (in Wheaton)
Wednesday: 7:45am-6:15pm (in Lombard)
Thursday: 7:45am-6:15pm (in Lombard)
Saturday: 6:45am-2:30pm (in Wheaton)

Week 2 & 4:
Tuesday: 7:45am-6:15pm (in Wheaton)
Wednesday: 7:45am-6:15pm (in Wheaton)
Thursday: 7:45am-6:15pm (in Lombard)

Required Certifications

• Must have Coronal Polishing & Sealant certification**

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
