Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for Grove Dental in Lombard, IL. This full-time role offers a 4-day workweek (7:30am–6:00pm) with every other Saturday and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

You’ll deliver chair-side support, prepare patients for treatment, and help maintain a high standard of care alongside a skilled dental team. Requirements include a Dental Assisting Certification (or equivalent), radiography/X-ray certification, CPR, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant certification or equivalent.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred, new grads welcome.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification required (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver chair-side support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and instrument setup.
  • Record and review patient health histories; document as directed by the dentist.
  • Set up trays and instruments per daily schedule and procedures.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
  • Assist with radiographs (exposure and development) during procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

4 days per week - 7:30am-6:00pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
