Responsibilities

• Educate and speak to patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Speak to patients about dental concerns.
• Keep the basic day to day procedures smooth.
• Sterilization techniques.
• Self‑motivated, goal oriented and driven to succeed.
• Firm commitment to caring for our patients.
• High level of professionalism.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Assist the dentist through 4‑handed dentistry.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
• Keep the dental room clean and well‑stocked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred but not required.
• Proven experience as dental assistant.

• Able to pack cord and make temporary impressions.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Attention to detail.
• Well‑organized and reliable.
• Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA).
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience in digital dentistry and use of intra‑oral scanners, same‑day crown fabrication, CT scanners, intra‑oral cameras, etc. (preferred).
• Experience with Dentrix/Dexis (preferred but not required).
