Job summary

Dentologie Queen Anne dental practice is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to provide outstanding patient care. The Ballard office offers competitive pay ($25 - $32/hr) based on experience, growth opportunities, benefits, and a balanced schedule.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance, patient care across diverse procedures, instrument prep, sterilization, and radiographs. Flexible scheduling supports a positive, 10-star patient experience and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Six months DA experience and active WA state dental assistant registration.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service and written communication skills.
• Clinical knowledge and patient care skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Coronal polishing certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.
• Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures.
• Provide a 10-star patient experience.
• Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.
• Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.
• Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
• Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment.
• Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
• Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
• Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
• Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.
• Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
• Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures.
