Job summary

42 North Dental in Massachusetts is seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to support dentists, improve patient flow, and ensure a positive patient experience at our Wakefield and Saugus offices.

You will greet patients, provide chairside assistance, expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures, give post-operative instructions, and help maintain infection control and inventory within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• CDA preferred certification or licensure.
• Required certifications/licensure as per state regulations.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate well with team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures

• Prepare, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
• Maintain infection control, OSHA and HIPAA compliance
• Maintain dental supply inventory

The Dental Assistant provides clinical support to facilitate the relationship between our patients and dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between dentists, patients, and administrative staff to ensure a positive patient experience. This role will support both our Wakefield and Saugus Gentle Dental offices.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment
• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures
• Provide post operative instructions and patient education
• Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
• Maintain strict compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA
• Maintain dental supply inventory
• Perform other related job duties as assigned
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork as the providers assisted are subject to change dependent upon the practice needs

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• C.D.A. preferred
• Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by state
• Strong verbal skills
• Embrace a positive team approach to patient care
