Job summary

42 North Dental in New Haven, CT, is seeking a full‑time Dental Assistant to support dentists and improve patient experiences. You’ll greet patients, prepare treatment rooms, assist chairside, take radiographs, and provide post‑op instructions while upholding infection control standards.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative team, benefit from comprehensive health and retirement offerings, and enjoy continuing education opportunities as you help deliver quality dental care and confident smiles

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• C.D.A. preferred.
• Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by state.
• Embrace a positive team approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
• Provide post operative instructions and patient education.
• Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain strict compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA.
• Maintain dental supply inventory.
• Perform other related job duties as assigned.
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork as the providers assisted are subject to change dependent upon the practice needs.
