Job summary

Aspen Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and patients in a busy practice. You will receive comprehensive training, competitive pay, and flexible scheduling designed to help you thrive in your career.

The role includes taking x-rays, assisting during procedures, preparing operatories, maintaining infection control, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting charting and office tasks to ensure excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with patients
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Able to work collaboratively with dental team to provide exceptional patient care
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state; X-ray certification if required

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
