Job summary

Aspen Dental in Texas is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinical needs and patient care. You will receive training and have the opportunity to contribute to community smiles while enjoying a stable, full-time role.

Responsibilities include taking X-rays, preparing operatory, maintaining infection control, and educating patients. You will collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to work collaboratively with dental team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active license/permit as required; including x-ray cert if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
