Qualifications

• One year or more on-the-job experience in dental assisting with documentation.
• X-Ray certification required; Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CPR/OSHA/HIPAA training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake if needed.
• Assist in emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency directory.
