Job summary

Stephen J Harkins DDS PC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a capable Dental Assistant to support doctors during exams and procedures.

You will seat patients, take histories and vitals, prepare rooms and instruments, clean and sterilize tools, take impressions, and assist with Cone Beam CT scans and oral appliances.

Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and patient communication will help ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Seating patients, asking patients medical history, and taking blood pressure to get them ready for the doctor
• Organizing and preparing exam rooms, lab, and work areas, including cleaning, stocking supplies
• Clean and sterilize instruments utilizing autoclave, assemble instruments, supplies, and equipment for specific procedures
• Take impressions of patient’s teeth, pouring and trimming stone models
• Performing laboratory duties such as blocking models, pressing, cutting, and trimming oral appliances
• Delivering, building, and adjusting patient’s oral appliances
• Provide patients information on how to use and care for their oral appliances
• Taking Cone Beam CT scans, constructing and sending images to doctors for reading and reporting
• Obtain consent forms for injections. Help prepare injections per doctor’s request
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the lab and cleaning all clinical rooms
