Job summary

Stephen J Harkins DDS PC in Tucson, AZ seeks a friendly Dental Assistant to seat patients, review medical history, and prepare operatories for procedures. You will sterilize instruments, organize the lab, take impressions, and assist with appliance fabrication.

Join a small dental team focused on patient care. You will support doctors with lab work, Cone Beam CT imaging, and patient education on appliance care while maintaining infection control and smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities

• Seating patients, asking patients medical history, and taking blood pressure to get them ready for the doctor
• Organizing and preparing exam rooms, lab, and work areas, including cleaning, stocking supplies
• Clean and sterilize instruments utilizing autoclave, assemble instruments, supplies, and equipment for specific procedures
• Take impressions of patient’s teeth, pouring and trimming stone models
• Performing laboratory duties such as blocking models, pressing, cutting, and trimming oral appliances
• Delivering, building, and adjusting patient’s oral appliances
• Provide patients information on how to use and care for their oral appliances
• Taking Cone Beam CT scans, constructing and sending images to doctors for reading and reporting
• Obtain consent forms for injections. Help prepare injections per doctor’s request
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the lab and cleaning all clinical rooms
