Our private practice is looking for a positive, well-organized, responsible, and highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.

Job Description:

This position involves assisting the dentist with general dentistry procedures, maintaining a clean facility and inventory, providing excellent customer service, and assisting in community outreach.

General Duties:

1. Assist the dentist at the dental chair during patient treatments (4-handed dentistry).
2. Maintain accurate patient health history and treatment records using Open Dental.
3. Set up treatment rooms efficiently for appointments.
4. Take blood pressure measurements.
5. Take diagnostic radiographs to aid in diagnosis.
6. Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
7. Use PC computers proficiently for office tasks.
8. Hold or be eligible for a coronal polishing certification.
9. Follow up on customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
10. Stock supplies in operatories, restrooms, resupply areas, lab, and breakroom.
11. Assist in monitoring and resupplying inventory and supplies.
12. Sterilize instruments properly.
13. Assist in general maintenance and cleanliness of the office.
14. Report broken or malfunctioning equipment promptly to the supervisor.
15. Assist both front and back office team members as needed.
16. Build and maintain good rapport with patients and staff.
17. Participate in outreach and marketing efforts both within and outside the practice.
18. Assist with answering phones and scheduling patient appointments.
19. Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
20. Nitrous monitoring certification is recommended.
