Job summary

The Smilist Dental is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our Catskill, NY practice. We provide high-quality dental care in a warm, welcoming environment and value team members who are motivated to contribute to excellent patient experiences.

Responsibilities include chairside assistance, maintaining sterile conditions, preparing trays, escorting patients, and supporting doctors to deliver efficient care. Standout candidates will have prior experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where the patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors to provide quality dental care.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory; order and replenish as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - 1 Saturday per month
• Salary Range:$20.00-$24.00/hour
• Location:Catskill, NY
