Job summary

The Smilist in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will assist dentists, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and support patient comfort during treatments.

Qualifications include an active NJ x-ray license, at least 1 year of experience, and knowledge of dental instruments and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing individual concerns and promoting the doctor’s strengths
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain supply levels in each operatory, ordering as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full Time - 1 Saturday per month
• Salary Range: $22.00-$25.00/hour
• Location: South Plainfield, NJ
