Job summary

The Smilist in Dayton, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and deliver outstanding patient care.

You will maintain a clean, sterile environment, prepare patients for procedures, and assist dentists to ensure high-quality treatment. Apply your Dentrix experience, strong communication, and teamwork to grow with our practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Active NJ X-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sterile clinical environment and prepare patients for treatment.
• Assist doctors and enable efficient, high-quality dental care.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must hold an active NJ x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$22.00-$24.00/hour
• Location:Dayton, NJ
