Job summary

42 North Dental in Somerville, MA seeks a Full-Time Dental Assistant to support dentists, prepare patients, and maintain clean, compliant treatment rooms. You will assist chairside, expose radiographs, and educate patients while upholding infection-control standards and HIPAA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of dental procedures, strong teamwork, and relevant certifications; CDA is preferred and state licensure as required by Massachusetts is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Ability to work as part of a team and provide quality patient care.
• Experience with infection control and radiography is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures.
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain infection control in line with CDC, OSHA and HIPAA.
