Job summary

Gold Coast Dental is a privately owned dental practice in California seeking a full-time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our clinical team and support the dentist during daily operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and committed to quality patient care, with responsibilities including assisting, preparing rooms, sterilization, and maintaining records. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or Dental Assistant experience as required by state regulations.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
• Understanding of infection control and workplace safety standards.
• Expanded duties permitted by certification (including coronal polishing) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to treatment rooms.
• Prepare patients for dental procedures and help ensure their comfort.
• Set up treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments per infection control standards.
• Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with scheduling, documentation, and payment processing as needed.
