Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care at the clinic or mobile unit. Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, preparation, inventory control, and strict infection control of all patient care areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, board-approved infection control and X-ray processes, and a CA driver’s license if mobile units are involved. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Coronal Polishing Certification preferred.
• X-Ray certification required.
• Board-approved course in Dental Practice Act required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services.
• Sterilize, prepare, and inventory dental instruments and supplies.
• Maintain infection control in all patient care areas.
• Support mobile units if assigned and ensure safety protocols are followed.
