Streets of St. Charles Dental is seeking a Temporary Part-time Dental Assistant to join our team.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
2. Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
3. Take and process X-rays and other diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
4. Assist dentists chairside during procedures, following state dental practice laws.
5. Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
6. Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
7. Manage supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
8. Collaborate with the team to implement systems and optimize workflow.

Position Details:

• Join our 14-person team committed to collaboration and community.
• This is a temporary part-time position from 6/23/2026 to 9/30/2025.
• Work hours: Tuesday 7:30am-6pm, Wednesday 7:30am-5pm, Friday 7:30am-3pm. No Mondays or Thursdays.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and/or X-ray certification as required by law.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA and data privacy, with training provided.

Preferred Experience:

• At least 1 year in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Availability for periodic training sessions.
• TB test required prior to employment (except in FL & TN).
