Job summary

SALT Dental Partners in Phoenix, AZ seeks a motivated Dental Assistant to join our patient‑centered team. You will greet patients, assist Providers during procedures, take radiographs and impressions, prepare and sterilize rooms, and document care in patient records with strict confidentiality.

Requirements include six months of dental assisting experience and CPR/BCLS certification; CODA accreditation is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Six months+ practical dental assisting experience.
  • CPR/BCLS certification required.
  • CODA-accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
  • Inform patients before, during and after treatment about their care.
  • Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos.
  • Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment.
  • Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during procedures.
  • Document dental care services in patients' records.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, patient-centric environment.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
  • Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable – before, during, and after their appointment – about their treatment and oral health.
  • Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos.
  • Prepare and sterilize treatment room and equipment.
  • Provide chair‑side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patients’ records.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient‑centric working environment.
Qualifications

You will be required to possess the following:

  • Six (6) or more months of practical experience as a dental assistant.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Completion of a CODA‑accredited dental assisting program (Preferred).
  • Quick learner with problem solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
  • Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
