Job summary

South Mississippi Smiles (Pascagoula) is part of Kids Dental Brands and seeks a friendly dental assistant to join a kid-focused team. You'll support dentists chairside, take X-rays, and help with impressions, extractions, and fillings in a modern office.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS Certification is required.
• Mississippi Dental Radiology Permit is required.

Responsibilities

• Work chairside with dentists to support high-quality patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Assist with procedures including impressions, extractions, and fillings.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, nutrition).
• Review medical histories, take vitals, and update records.
• Help children feel comfortable and confident before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients and families.
