Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Experience with making temps and iTero scans is a plus.
  • CPR & First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.

experience with making temps, taking scans with iTero and assisting with implants is a plus!

We are looking for a Dental Assistant to work with our exceptional GP dentist! EFDA experience is a plus!

We are a general dentistry practice, and we strive to provide exemplary, personalized dental care in a friendly, relaxing environment at an excellent value. We believe in preventative dental care for our patients, and we educate them on how to maintain their dental health for life. Schedule:

Tuesday 8-5

Wednesday 9-5

Thursday 8-6

Friday 8-5

*every other Saturday required 9-2

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Prepares patient for dental treatment.
  • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
  • Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
  • Fabricates restorations; cleans and polishes removable appliances.
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification.
  • Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Documents dental care services by charting in patient records
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Ensures operation of dental equipment
  • Maintains dental supplies inventory.

Requirements

Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
  • Valid X-ray certificate.
  • Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
  • CPR & first aid certificate.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
