Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Dental Assistant in Pasadena. You will assist dentists and hygienists in providing primary dental care, help with sterilization, preparation, and inventory, and uphold infection control standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, board-approved Dental Practice Act course, X-Ray and BLS certificates, and a preference for bilingual English/Spanish speakers. In-person, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Job Overview

The Dental Assistant position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in providing primary care dental services to patients at the clinic or in the mobile oral health unit as well as for sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments supplies, and for proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED certificate required.

  • Successful completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act.

  • X-Ray, infection control and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates required.

  • Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Compensation

$25.00 - $25.00 hourly
