Job description

Neibauer Dental Care in Oxon Hill is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. We are willing to train new dental assistant graduates who have their radiology certification in Maryland! Must be available to work every other Saturday.

This position offers a pay range of $22.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

Must be available to work the following schedule:

  • Tuesday: 1p-7p
  • Wednesday: 9a-5p
  • Thursday: 7a-1p
  • Friday: 8a-6p
  • Alternating Monday: 10a-4p and Saturday: 8a-3p

More about the role:

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Review patient health history for quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other assessments.
  • Assist dentists chairside during procedures in accordance with state law.
  • Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
  • Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols.
  • Manage supplies and inventory.
  • Partner with the team to implement systems and improve workflow.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • X-ray certification required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and data protection.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1+ years in a dental setting.
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
  • Dental assisting certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Availability for periodic training sessions.
  • TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
