Job summary

Variety Care seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering quality care. You will prepare patients, arrange instruments, perform four-handed dentistry, and maintain sterilization and imaging workflows.

The role requires a high school diploma, bilingual Spanish/English ability, and readiness to obtain a dental assistant permit within 30 days. You may work across multiple Variety Care Dental locations, contributing to safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain Dental Assistant permit from the Board of Dentistry within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic organizational skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English).
• Experience handling confidential information.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: at least 1 expanded function/certificate in Radiation Safety and Protection, Coronal Polishing and Topical Fluoride, Nitrous Oxide Application, or Sealant Application.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for dental treatment; reviews treatment plans.
• Sets up chair side dental instruments and materials for each procedure.
• Performs Four-Handed Dentistry with dentists.
• Sterilizes and cleans instruments.
• Takes appropriate digital X-Rays.
• Maintains operatory and lab equipment; keeps area aseptic.
• Able to float to multiple locations as directed by ADA Administrator.
• Supports expanded functions per certification.
• Contributes to patient-centered care and departmental goals.
