Job summary

VARIETY CARE INC is seeking a Dental Assistant at our Oklahoma City location (Straka/VC). The role requires a High School diploma or GED, bilingual Spanish/English, and the ability to obtain a Dental Assistant permit within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental treatment and review treatment plans.
• Arrange chair-side dental instruments and materials for each procedure.
• Perform four-handed dentistry in coordination with dentists.
• Sterilize and clean instruments.
• Take appropriate digital X-Rays.
• Maintain dental and office equipment.
• Keep operatory and lab neat and aseptic at all times.
• Expand functions if certification allows (e.g., coronal polishing, sealants, or nitrous oxide).
• Call patients into the dental clinic from the waiting area.
• Be able to float to multiple Variety Care Dental locations as needed.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting the Dentist in providing dental care to the patients of VarietyCare.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for dental treatment; goes over treatment plans.
• Arranges chair side dental instruments and materials in preparation for each procedure.
• Performs Four-Handed Dentistry in coordination with the Dentists.

• Calls patient into dental clinic from patient waiting.
• Ability to work at any of the Variety Care Dental locations floats to locations as directed by the Dental Practice Administrator as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Able to assist patients in to and out of dental chair when asked or directed.
• Able to walk, bend, lift, and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
