Job summary

La Cross Dental in O'Fallon, IL is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our busy team. This role requires prior dental assisting experience and offers a supportive environment and opportunities for growth.

You will collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure high-quality patient care, manage chairside duties, and help maintain a smooth clinical workflow in a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience is REQUIRED.
• Must be able to step into the role with confidence and work efficiently with doctors.
• Provide an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat patients while creating a warm, professional patient experience.
• Provide efficient chairside dental assisting for a variety of procedures.
• Accurately chart treatment and clinical information.
• Anticipate the doctor's needs and maintain an efficient clinical workflow.
• Take and document patient blood pressure.
• Assist with nitrous administration.
• Prepare trays and materials for procedures.
• Complete thorough and efficient operatory turnover between patients.
• Take dental radiographs including PA's, Panorex, and FMX.
• Take alginate impressions and pour/trim models.
• Fabricate custom trays and retainers.
• Sterilize handpieces, instruments, and equipment and maintain infection-control standards.
