They travel with the program to provide direct clinical and chair, side assisting in both mobile and portable settings. They are also responsible for exposing radiographs, sterilization and preparation of dental instruments as well as inventory control. Department: DentalHours: Full-Time, 36 hours requiredRequired: High School Diploma, IL Driver's License and BLS within 90 days.Pay: Based on experience, starting at $18.68/hour **Responsibilities**Assists in maintenance of all Dental Department clinical areas in compliance with Dental Program directive and organization policies and procedures relative to infection control, exposure control and safety issues., Assists with various clerical/office duties as assigned. Proficient in the use of dental software, computers, and dental records., Ensures the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials in accordance with organizational policy as well as state and federal regulations., Follows and maintains all relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and standards., Interacts with and processes dental clinic patients and assists with scheduling appointments. Participates in health promotion/disease prevention activities as required., Maintains adequate operatory supplies and compiles a list of individual item shortages for inventory control and ordering purposes., Maintains a list of Dental Program patients, monitors patient flow, and assists clinical staff in assuring that all patient records and documents are accurately completed and filed., Maintains all clinic areas in compliance with Dental Program directives and protocols, as well as policies and procedures relative to infection control, exposure control and safety issues., Monitors and maintains dental equipment., Participates in continuing education; and obtains CDL license upon request., Performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by Dentist or Dental Hygienist., Performs x-rays, exposes and develops dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law as well as Dental Program directive and protocol., Pre/post inspection of the mobile dental bus. This includes filling and dumping of tanks, maintain the secure leveling with jacks, assist with maintenance and cleaning of the bus.
