Job summary

The JOY FM is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to prepare rooms, welcome patients, and assist the dentist during procedures in a clinical setting. You will ensure patient comfort and review medical histories to support safe care.

Responsibilities include taking digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions; managing infection control; and providing post-operative instructions and oral hygiene guidance, while maintaining strong communication with the team.

Qualifications

• State X-ray certification and CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Clinical dental office experience preferred.

Room Prep: Set up and organize treatment rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and materials. Patient Care: Welcome patients, ensure their comfort in the dental chair, and review medical histories. Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist by passing instruments and managing oral suction. Diagnostics: Take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and dental impressions. Infection Control: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and operatories following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Patient Education: Provide post-operative care instructions and advice on proper oral hygiene.

Qualifications

Certification: State X-ray certification and CPR certification (Registered Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant preferred). Skills: Strong working knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental), great communication, and teamwork skills. Experience: Previous clinical experience in a dental office setting is a plus
