Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Dental Assistant to support the dentist during patient care, prepare rooms and tools, and assist with procedures.

Location: Newark, DE. This contract‑full‑time role pays $23 per hour, with weekly paychecks and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k).

Applicants must hold a state license/certificate, have CPR if required, complete TB/health prerequisites, and meet all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current license/certificate in state of practice.
• One year experience as Dental Assistant preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during patient care and prepare the room and dental tools/equipment.
• Complete intake paperwork and update patient records.
• Sterilize and organize dental tools and assist during procedures.

The Dental Assistant provides support to the dentist during patient care and completes the preparation of the room and dental tools/equipment. The Dental Assistant completes intake paperwork, updates patient records, sterilizes and organizes dental tools, and assists during any dental procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Current License/Certificate within state of practice
