Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) invites you to join a team delivering best in class patient care in Newark, Ohio. As a Dental Assistant, you will support the practice team, help prepare patients for treatment, and assist the dentist with restorative procedures in a friendly, patient-first environment.

The schedule runs Monday through Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm with one Friday per month 8am-1pm. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for growth, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

  • Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training.
  • 1-5 years preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • Radiography/X-ray certification required for state.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent chair-side clinical support to doctors and hygienists.
  • Prepare patients for treatment and assist with restorative dentistry.
  • Maintain chart entries and patient records per doctor instructions.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.


Skills Required to Make a Great \"Impression\" on Our Team


  • Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.

  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor\'s direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.

  • Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.

  • Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.

  • Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.

  • Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.


Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training

  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates

  • Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state

  • CPR Certification required

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.
