Job summary

BMS Family Health Center in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered practice. You will chair-side assist with dentists and hygienists, prepare rooms, and ensure sterilization and safety standards are met.

You’ll also manage patient data, provide post-treatment guidance, and support administrative tasks, contributing to a collaborative, compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
  • Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
  • Computer literate and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is a plus.
  • A positive, team-first attitude and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms with care and professionalism.
  • Assist during procedures with suction, retraction, and material prep.
  • Record patient data, vitals, and treatment details.
  • Capture digital X-rays and maintain infection control protocols.
  • Provide post-op instructions and support to patients.
  • Support lab tasks and keep sterilization logs up to date.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring a smooth, safe, and comfortable experience for every patient. From preparing treatment rooms and assisting with procedures to maintaining sterilization protocols and providing post-treatment guidance, your work will make a meaningful difference each day. You’ll support our dentists and hygienists chair-side and contribute to both clinical and administrative operations.


What You'll Do:


  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms with care and professionalism

  • Record accurate patient data, vitals, and treatment details

Requirements
