Job summary

Gentle Dental World in Queens, NY is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and enhance patient care in a collaborative setting. The role requires prior dental assisting experience and entails preparing treatment rooms, radiography, and patient education.

The position is full-time (5 days/week with Saturdays required) and offers health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, a 401(k), and opportunities for continuing education in a modern clinic.

Qualifications

• 1 year on-the-job-experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training annually

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in medical emergencies by maintaining CPR readiness and emergency supplies

As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
