Gentle Dental World is looking for a Dental Assistant in Queens, New York to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment.

Position Overview

As a Dental Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team, supporting the office and assisting dental staff with treatment. Support our mission to provide excellent dental care in the community and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist dentists during procedures
  • Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models
  • Ensure infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, follow workplace regulations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Manage dental and medical emergencies, maintain CPR certification, emergency supplies
Qualifications
  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
  • 1 year on-the-job experience with supporting documentation
  • X-Ray certification
  • Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Maintaining annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training is expected.
