Job summary

SmilesNY in the New York City Metropolitan area is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for a full-time, on-site role (32 hours, Mon–Thu). The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during procedures, handle sterilization of equipment, and provide oral care education to patients.

• Four-handed dentistry experience.
• Ability to use 3Shape.
• Knowledge of Itero.
• Experience with Dentrix & Dexis.
• Imaging/photos skills a plus.
• Sterilization knowledge and experience.
• Team-oriented with strong communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent training.
• RDA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during procedures.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and rooms.

Role Description

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training


• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification is a plus
