NYU Langone Hospitals in New York is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chairside assistance and maintain infection control standards. The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma, 1 year of relevant experience, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dental Assistant. In this role, the successful candidate assists the dentist on all modalities of dentistry (operatory, oral surgeon, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry). Practice four‑handed dentistry. The assistant also assumes the standards of care related to infection control; all OSHA guidelines and safety are upheld at the station assigned. The assistant exposes, develops and mounts radiographs properly, sets trays and prepares the room before accepting or discharging a patient. They are expected to assure patient comfort while waiting for the dentist. The assistant is responsible for sterilizing hand pieces, transporting instruments for sterilization, identifying any inoperable equipment, performing light lab work, documenting patient records as dictated by the dentist, and complying with all standards, policies, and procedures of the department.

The salary range for the role is $50,040.46 – $50,040.46 annually. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The listed range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
