Job summary

Huron Dental Associates is seeking an experienced dental assistant to support a range of procedures and keep the office running smoothly. You will chairside assist, prepare and sterilize instruments, take X-rays, and help with impressions and temporary crowns while ensuring patient comfort.

In this full-time role, you will manage patient flow, document records, educate patients on care, and follow OSHA and infection-control protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Experience making temporary crowns and bridges.
• Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays.
• Experience using an iTero scanner.
• Ability to assist chairside during various dental procedures.
• Strong understanding of sterilization protocols and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to manage appointment flow, including main-column and side-book scheduling.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays.
• Take dental impressions and fabricate temporary crowns and bridges.
• Utilize the iTero scanner to support patient care and treatment planning.
• Manage patient flow by balancing the main column with side-book appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment recommendations, and post-operative care.
• Help ensure patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visits.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and established sterilization and safety procedures.

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, once per month
