Job summary

42 North Dental in New Bedford, MA, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists, manage chairside procedures, and maintain patient care quality. The role emphasizes strong communication with patients and teamwork within the clinical staff.

You will greet patients, assist during procedures, take radiographs, and ensure infection control and sterilization. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment
• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures
• Provide post operative instructions and patient education
• Prepare, break down, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
• Maintain infection control, CDC/OSHA/HIPAA compliance
• Maintain dental supply inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Support providers when needs change with patient flow

• Perform other related job duties as assigned
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork as the providers assisted are subject to change dependent upon the practice needs

Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• C.D.A. preferred
• Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by state
• Strong verbal skills
• Embrace a positive team approach to patient care
