Job summary

Children’s Dental FunZone is a pediatric dental practice seeking an outstanding Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support the dentist across a range of procedures in a friendly, kid‑centered environment and contribute to high-quality care.

This full-time role requires schooling or office experience, Infection Control and Radiation Safety certificates, and availability to work Saturdays. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior studies and/or experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Infection Control certificate required.
• Radiation Safety certificate required.
• Available full-time including two Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Ask about patient medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Provide Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care after procedures.
• Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques (brushing, flossing, nutrition).
• Take impressions for study casts and models.
• Enter procedures into Dentrix Ascend software.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.

• Full-time. Mon-Fri 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Sat 8:00 am- 2:00 pm
• Hourly + Benefits+ Monthly Bonuses
• Pay rate $20.00- $23.00

Job Duties:

• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.
• Providing patients with Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
• Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
• Taking impressions of patient's teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
• Taking needed pre-op/post-op x-rays for necessary insurance. Ex: XB, Space maintainer, etc.
• Chart/enter a treatment into Dentrix Ascend software.
• Must be able to work Saturdays
