Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team and provide excellent clinical support to dentists and hygienists. You will prepare patients for treatment, assist during procedures, and help maintain sterilization and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities include charting, instrument setup, radiographs, and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced dental office.

Qualifications

  • Dental assisting certification or equivalent training.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
  • State-specific radiography certification.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists.
  • Prepare patients for treatment and assist during dental procedures.
  • Record and review patient health history; complete forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Prepare trays, instruments, and maintain asepsis; sterilize instruments.
  • Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, including CPR and required certifications.

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great "Impression" on Our Team
  • Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
  • Radiography/ X-RAY certification for respective state
  • CPR Certification required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.
