Job summary

Lost Mountain Dental in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of chairside experience and a patient‑focused approach to care.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of chairside experience required.
• Experience working in a dental office with a patient-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts to operatory.
• Assists dentist at chairside as required by dentist.
• Maintain sterile environment per infection control procedures.
• Review health history and chart entries under dentist supervision.
• Handle duties delegated by dentist; support patient comfort.
• Stock operatory and maintain clinical supply inventory.
• Review daily schedule and prepare trays/instruments.
• Assist in front office procedures when needed.
• Supervise preventive maintenance of dental equipment.
• Take digital radiographs.
• Follow practice protocols for QA, biohazards, infection control, referrals, implants and emergencies.

We are looking to add an experienced Dental Assistant to our existing team! The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of chairside experience.

Job Duties:

• Greets patients in waiting area and escorts patients to the operatory.
• Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist.
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
• Review the health history, make chart entries under the direction of the dentist and assure completion of forms and signatures.
• Assume the responsibility associated with any duties that may be delegated by the dentist.
• Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient when it is needed.
• Stock operatories and maintain clinical supply inventory.
• Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Assist in front office procedures if time allows or need is determined by the Dentist or Office Manager.
• Supervise preventive maintenance of dental equipment.
• Take digital radiographs.
• Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment.

Schedule:

• Weekdays only, no weekends!
• Monday through Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Fridays 6:45am – 1:00pm

Compensation:

• Hourly pay based on experience, range $18-22/hour
• Benefit package available for full-time employees!
